About Us

Welcome to the Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery - a family-owned mountain guest house to both relax and enjoy what the area has to offer in all seasons. From views of mountains, flowers, rivers and forests, to visiting onsens, galleries, artisan villages, shrines and outdoor activities such as hiking, on and off-road bicycle riding, river rafting, walking, snowshoeing and more - a perfect place to explore nature, relax and enjoy freshly-roasted coffee hand drip and espresso based specialty coffee in our indoor and outdoor spaces. Suitable for single guests or groups up to 24.

世界のスペシャリティコーヒーを提供する〈泊まれるロースタリーカフェ〉ゲストハウスです。
自然の中で楽しめる豊富なアウトドアアクティビティ(ラフティング、SUP、カヤック、バンジージャンプ、マウンテンバイク、スキー、スノーボード...)、温泉巡り、紅葉狩り、ハイキング、登山など、周辺では年間通して様々な体験ができます。
朝食は世界各国のゲストベイカー作る、焼きたてのパンやディニッシュを焙煎したてのシングルオリジンコーヒーと共にお楽しみ下さい。

Coffee Roastery Breakfast  

  • Freshly roasted onsite, single origin specialty coffee served hand-drip style or as espresso-based drinks and (real) hot chocolate.

  • International baked global classic breakfast treats to enjoy with coffee (or tea, or chocolate!) on the terrace surrounded by nature. 

  • Breakfast includes onsite baked waffles and a sweet and savory selection of pasties, danishes, pies, tarts etc. , along with our handmade granola. All ingredients are locally sourced where possible. 

  • Vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are available, please let us know before your arrival along with of any allergies etc.

Lodge Accommodation

  • All seasons accommodation surrounded by nature, mountains, snow, rivers, forests and hiking trails. A scenic base (with great coffee!) to relax in  after exploring the many things the area has to offer. Ideal for families, groups, solo travelers, companies and schools.

  • All guests are provided a complimentary breakfast including the 'café drink menu' and freshly roasted specialty coffee during during their stay.

Winter Activities

  • 700m to nearest ski field with a 'no grooming' powder area, beginners-intermediate area and a small kids sledding slope

  • 3 other ski fields within 15 minute drive 2 with park boarding, night skiing and kids play areas available . Great backcountry and side country powder areas

  • Skiing & snowboarding lessons in English/Japanese

  • Snowshoes, sleds & snow toys for use by guests 

  • Public and private onsens nearby

  • Shuttle service available, contact for more details

  • From views of flowers, rivers and forests, to outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, scenic country bike rides, swimming, river rafting, onsens, hiking, downhill mountain biking and more - a perfect place to explore nature and challenge your abilities.
